While being voted Toolmaker of the Year 2004 was a momentous achievement, it happened a long time ago. This realization prompted us, after an eleven-year break, to seek a repeat of this success with an entry in the “Excellence in Production” competition staged by RWTH Aachen.
Given the number and calibre of the contestants taking part, totalling around 300 tool and mould making companies of all size categories, we did not expect to automatically be placed in the front row. This made it all the more of a surprise when we were called to take our place on the winner’s podium on November 4, 2014. The prestigious panel of judges made up of representatives from industry,
trade associations and research institutes was particularly impressed by “the expertise demonstrated by the company across the entire process, which is continuously extended by in-house component design, the degree of order tracking transparency attained through the use of software tools and
apps, and the outstanding level of machine performance achieved in the field of metal cutting”.
